Jiayi received his PhD in Linguistics from Stanford University and postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania before joining Northwestern, his undergraduate alma mater. Jiayi is interested in how syntactic knowledge is represented in the human mind, and how such knowledge is acquired by learners and shaped by input during language use.
